Each antique persian rug is generally known by the name of the weaving area. Not unlike French wine, a Heriz antique persian rug was woven in the Heriz weaving district in Northwest Iran. Tabriz, Maylayer, Hamadan, are weaving districts from which these other antique persian rug items are named. When one can find these older pieces in good condition at a bargain price it is quite special. There is no more production of these exquisite items. Although there are reproductions of these made in Turkey and India that are fine products, but not generally one of a kinds and have a totally different knot. Each of our antique persian rug product is genuine.
